bing. Namun, banyak yang tidak tahu dari semua itu, sebenarnya ada bos besarnya di balik ketiga directory tersebut, yaitu
DMOZ.
Apa itu DMOZ?DMOZ (Directory Mozilla Project), atau yang sering dikenal sebagai ODP (Open Project Directory) adalah kumpulan direktori tentang websites dan webpages yang besar dan terkategori, dimana dikelola oleh sukarelawan. Setiap websites dan webpage yang dimasukkan ke dalam direktori harus secara manual sudah direview sebelum dimasukkan. Untuk mendaftar ke dalam direktory tidak dipungut biaya/gratis.
Di
DMOZ ini, banyak search engine yang tunduk padanya, antara lain Alexa, Yahoo, AOL, Lycos, Teoma, Hotbot dan yang lain. Bahkan google pun yang merupakan search engine terbesar di jagat raya telah sukses membuat google directory di

Bagaimana Cara Penilaian DMOZ Terhadap Suatu Website/Blog?Silahkan anda baca kutipan dari pernyataan dmoz di bawah ini:

Inti dari kutipan di atas adalah bahwa seorang karyawan dari dmoz akan langsung melakukan review atas pengajuan anda untuk diterima ataukah tidak. Jadi, disini sangat jelas bahwa yang melakukan review adalah seorang manusia, bukan robot yang otomatis.
Seberapa Pentingkah DMOZ Bagi Sebuah Website?Sangat beruntung sekali jika website anda berhasil terdaftar dalam kategori
dmoz, karena tidak semua website dapat masuk ke dalam directory dmoz ini. Dengan terdaftarnya website anda pada directory dmoz, berarti anda harus bersyukur karena
ladang traffic pun akan segera menghampiri website anda.
Meningkat secara cepat dan drastis mungkin masih abstrak, karena itu tergantung bagaimana blog/situs anda sendiri. Tapi secara logika, blog atau situs yang terdaftar kedalam naungan DMOZ mengalami peningkatan traffic karena blog/site akan muncul pada setiap direktori search engine terkenal. Karena setiap anda posting artikel, artikel anda akan lebih cepat masuk ke dalam jajaran google. Dari situlah traffic akan muncul dengan sendirinya.

dmoz sebagai pencari ladang traffic yang bagus.
Untuk mendaftarkan blog ke dmoz, itu sangat mudah. Saya tidak akan membahasnya dalam postingan kali ini, karena mungkin akan terlalu panjang. Kendalanya hanyalah pada saat website / blog anda direview oleh seorang manusia, bukan robot. Karena disitulah penentuannya, tidak semua website / blog bisa masuk ke dalam directory blog, hanya blog atau website yang terpilih saja dapat masuk kesana.
